Any minute that you choose to spend angry, upset or frustrated, is a full minute of contentment you’ll never get back. Life is short, be sure to count your blessings, and learn to forgive quickly, not for their sake, but for yours; it keeps what they did from continuing to hurt your heart any longer. I can’t stress enough how important this is.
Seek not to hold grudges, smile daily as often as you can, and laugh again like you use to when you were a child. Go out of your way to be kind to others when possible, it’s Always possible. Before speaking of or about another person to someone, one of the first questions you should ask yourself is “What good could become of what I am saying?” Then ask yourself the questions, Is it true, Is it kind, and is it necessary? The moment you choose to pass judgment on others, you expose yourself to receive the same in return.
Do your best to focus on positive thoughts daily and associate with positive people. Dismiss the drama in your life and the people that attempt to produce it. Be careful not to allow the words of others to get you down. Contrary to what many may believe, another person’s opinion of you is not more important than the opinion that you have of yourself. No one can make you feel inferior without your permission. Do your best not to take the comments people make against you personal, it’s not about you, it’s usually about their insecurities and unhappiness. Also, be careful about thinking and saying negative things about yourself unless you wish them to become true……in time they will.
Many years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the things you did do. Remember, if you don’t go after what you want, you’ll never have it, and If you don’t ask, the answer is always no. Your success in life isn’t all about your ability and training, it also depends on your determination to grasp opportunities that are presented to you. Opportunities in life come by creation, not by chance.
Be careful not to be defined by misfortunes of any pain from your past. The pain from your past should be left in the past, or it can steal your future. Live life for what tomorrow can bring, and not what yesterday has taken away. Life will have challenges and complications along the way, so don’t wait for things to get better, learn to be happy now, otherwise you’ll run out of time.
Only two things are certain in our lives. This lifetime began and this lifetime will end. Then the important question is: “How much fun and enjoyment will I have along the way?” Make it a priority to enjoy each day as much as you possibly can, it’s your choice. I challenge you today to look in the mirror and give yourself a big smile, and make someone smile.
