Sometimes the nicest people you meet may have several piercings or may be covered in tattoos, and sometimes the most judgmental people you meet make it a point to go to church on Sundays. The sign of a beautiful person is not the person who may externally look the best according to society, but the person who is kind, caring, and who seems to always see beauty in others.
Sometimes you have to move on without certain people. If they’re meant to be in your life, they will be. Be careful not to get continuously caught up in the drama of others. Many people thrive on drama, even when there is no drama, they will find a way to create it, and will often include you in their drama.
Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together. Some people will often look at the closed doors in their lives for so long that they cannot see the doors that have opened right in front of them. Be thankful for the bad things in life. For they opened your eyes to the good things you weren’t paying attention to before.
Sometimes you need to watch the people and friends that you allow in your life more closely. One of the most important things I’ve learned in life is to ignore most of what people say, and watch what they do instead. Actions don’t lie, but people oftentimes do.
Sometimes you may need to remind yourself to focus on what you already have with gratitude and appreciation, instead of complaining about what you don’t have, or wish you had. The more you are thankful, the more you attract things to be thankful for.
Sometimes things may go wrong in your life. When things seem to go wrong, take a moment to be thankful for the many more things that are still going right. Don’t sweat the small things in life that you have no control over, as you waste your breath complaining about life, someone out there is breathing their last. It is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness.
Sometimes you have to take the time to understand that your current situation-whatever that may be-is a direct result of what you are feeling, thinking, and believing. Time will pass regardless, you can either spend it creating the life you want, or spend it complaining and living the life you don’t want. The choice is yours. As you get older you will understand more and more that life is not about what kind of house you live in, what you drive, who your friends are, the kind of job or position that you have or what you have in the bank. It’s all about the person you’ve become.
Sometimes we may underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. Continue to inspire. Continue to turn lives around simply by being the outstanding person that you are.
