Each new day gives us a new opportunity to make choices that will make our day even better. What you choose to focus your attention on is imperative in determining the outcome of your day. It takes effort on your part to focus on both, the positive things that are going well in your life, or the drama and negativity around you. It’s no coincidence that some people tend to be happy all the time and others seem to be angry, frustrated, or complaining about something on a regular basis.
When people are unhappy in their lives, they tend to become “negative” evidence collectors, diligently looking for the bad in people, things, and events, to put into their cognitive mental folder to validate their unhappiness. Happy people, on the other hand, will tend to be “positive” evidence collectors, constantly looking for positive things to put into their mental folders that will validate their happiness.
I firmly believe that we don’t see the world as it is, we see the world as we are. Amazing things happen when you consciously and purposely distance yourself from drama and negativity and focus on what’s going right with your life. We should always keep in mind that nothing is permanent in this world, not even our troubles. If you have been defeated by a difficulty, it is probably because you have repeatedly told yourself that there is nothing you can do about it.
We’ve all heard people say before that “Life is short”. It is indeed, which is why you should surround yourself with people who make you hungry for life, touch your heart, and nourish your soul, as opposed to people who bring negativity, gossip, drama, and drain you of your joy of life and living. Learn to quickly dismiss those who criticize you or talk behind your back; their opinions don’t matter, what matters most is the opinion you have of yourself. Even though others may speak bad or gossip about you, you should strive to refrain from speaking bad of others at any time; it will only bring more chaos and negativity into your life. When you speak of someone to another you should ask yourself….Is it kind, Is it true, and Is it necessary.
Remember that when you focus on the beautiful parts of your life, the universe will keep giving them to you. Your current situation; whatever that may be, is a direct result of what you are feeling, thinking, and believing. I firmly believe that universal forces are always at work that pulls us inexorably toward the deserving results of our thoughts and actions. The secret of having it all is believing you already do. Don’t waste time stressing over things that go wrong in your life as it will not make a difference other than to bring you down, instead, focus on, and be thankful for the many more things that are still going right. The moment you start acting like life is truly a blessing, it starts feeling like one. Choose to have an amazing day.
