Sometimes the nicest people you will ever meet are covered in tattoos, and sometimes the most judgmental people you meet go to church on Sundays. The sign of a beautiful person is not the person who may externally look the best according to society, but that person who always seem to demonstrate kindness and see beauty in others.
Sometimes you have to move on without certain people. If they’re meant to be in your life, they’ll catch up. If not, then they were meant to move on. I believe people cross our paths as blessings or lessons. Some for longer periods than others.
Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together. Some people will often look at the past closed doors in their lives for so long that they cannot see the doors that have opened right in front of them. Sometimes you need to be thankful for the bad things in life. For they opened your eyes to the good things you weren’t paying attention to before. Things will usually work out in your best interest if you give them time to do so. That’s just how the universe works.
Sometimes you need to watch the people and friends that you allow in your life more closely. One of the most important things I’ve learned in life is to ignore most of what people say about themselves, and watch what they do instead. Actions don’t lie, but people oftentimes do. I seldom go by what a person says, I go by what they do. Sometimes you may need to remind yourself that no matter how nice you are, how kind you are, how caring you are, or how loving you are, it just isn’t enough for some people. Some people are just broken, and will continue to be until they decide to do something about it. Don’t take their words and actions against you personally, as it has nothing to do with you.
Sometimes you simply need to focus on what you already have with gratitude and appreciation, instead of complaining about what you don’t have, or wish you had. The more you are thankful, the more you attract things to be thankful for. When some things go wrong, take a moment to be thankful for the many more things that are still going right. Don’t sweat the small things in life that you have no control over, as you waste your breath complaining about life, someone out there is breathing their last.
Sometimes you have to take the time to understand that your current situation-whatever that may be-is a direct result of what you are feeling, thinking, and believing. Time will pass regardless, you can either spend it creating the life you want, or spend it complaining and living the life you don’t want. The choice is yours. As you become older and wiser, you will understand more and more that it’s not about what you look like or what you own or have accomplished, it’s all about the person you’ve allowed yourself to become. Continue to inspire others and lead by example. If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.
