Remember that the best way to predict the future is to create it. The quality of a person’s life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor.
I firmly believe that universal forces are always at work that pulls us inexorably toward the deserving results of our thoughts and actions.
Buried deep within each of us is a spark of greatness, a spark that can be fanned into flames of passion and achievement. That spark is not outside of you or contingent upon what others may think or say about you, it is born deep within you, all you need to do is own it.
Each day we should choose to entertain positive thoughts, and choose not to complain, criticize others, judge others, gossip, speak ill of others, or make assumptions. If you can learn not to make assumptions, and to not take anything that a person does or says personal, you will become much more content, and experience far less frustrations, disappointments, and anger. When we remove our personal feelings from any situation, our eyes are able to see the truth more clearly.
I constantly remind my friends to always strive for perfection; we will never be perfect, but if we strive towards perfection, along the way we will be sure to catch excellence. I caution you, the closer you get to excellence in your life, the more friends you may lose. People love you when you’re average because it makes them comfortable, but when you pursue greatness, it makes many people uncomfortable. This is the reason that often when people begin to better themselves, they also begin to lose some friends along the way….it’s not because they’ve changed, it is because their friends have become uncomfortable being around them. Be prepared to lose some people on your life’s journey of self improvement….it will happen….but continue to strive to excel regardless. The difference between the possible and the impossible is merely a measure of a person’s determination.
Remember that no other person can make you feel inferior without your permission. I firmly believe that people will come in and out of your life as lessons or blessings…all by universal design; necessary lessons in order to produce the unique individual you are to become at your best.
You don’t have the power to make life fair, but you do have the power to make life joyful. Remember that pain is inevitable, but misery is optional. We hold the power to make things happen through our conscious intent. Remember that neither other people or materialistic possessions are responsible for your happiness, only you are.
Be very careful not to lose yourself in the process of valuing someone too much and forgetting that you too are very special. You have been designed with greatness within…take full advantage of this gift…..many choose not to.
Keep in mind that you will only be bothered by annoying people and frustrating situations until you choose not to get annoyed or frustrated by those kind of people or situations.
It will indeed be a good day when you wake up and decide that it will be.
